Tellera Brewery Closure Farewell

The Terella Brewing will shut its doors next month. Terella will be the third major venue to close on the Sunshine Coast this year after The Station shut down in January.

Maroochydore venue Solbar is shut a week ago.

It comes after a lengthy legal battle with the Sunshine Coast Council over planning and land-use approvals.

There are differing views about the need for closure, but the owner claims he has spent over $170,000 in legal fees and followed the rules to operated in that location. Others, including the Sunshine Coast Council disupt that. Who's right and wrong?

More than 40 staff members will lose their jobs as the brewery calls on the council to review its decision.

What is true is small business across Australia is constantly up against rules and regulations that more often than not make it very hard to comply, requires scarce funds, and does not benefit the community.
