End the irrelevant question
The phrase "What were you wearing?" is a question survivors have heard for far too long—a pointed attempt to shift blame from the perpetrator to the victim. What Were You Wearing? (WWYW) is a grassroots charity dedicated to flipping that narrative, fighting to end sexual violence across Australia through advocacy, education, and raw, unfiltered awareness.
This isn't just an organization; it’s a movement built by survivors, for survivors. By centering the lived experiences of those who have navigated the aftermath of assault, WWYW provides a platform for healing and a loud, collective voice demanding systemic change.

Make Your Voice Heard
Visuals matter. We encourage everyone to create and bring a placard. Whether it’s a message of solidarity, a demand for better legislative protection, or a simple "I Believe You," your signs turn a crowd into a message that cannot be ignored.
Sexual violence thrives in silence and shame. By gathering at Foundation Square and marching, we are reclaiming our space and proving that the community stands firmly behind survivors. Let’s turn out in force to ensure that "What were you wearing?" is never asked again, replaced instead by "How can we support you?"
